The news article "Sun like it hot" by Jon Cartwright in Horizon - EU's Research & Innovation Magazine - features the Solar ALMA project (PI Sven Wedemeyer) and the CORONALDOLLS project (PI Ineke De Moortel).
Regular observations of the Sun with the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) just started in December. The scientific potential of this new eye on our Sun is described in today's press release published by the ALMA observatory.
The abstract submission deadline for oral contributions for the session "The solar-stellar connection in the era of ALMA" at the Cool Stars 19 meeting was extended to April 29.
